Why join our Council

Looking to find an organization that is all about supporting our maritime military service members and their families? By joining our Council, you’ll share our commitment to our adopted units and their personnel with how much we appreciate their commitment to America. Our council depends on passionate individuals like you to execute our mission of being In Service to Those Who Serve.

We’re looking for both individual members as well as corporate supporters. Be a part of the New Jersey Council as we support ships and shore commands. That support translates to providing rewards and honors to enlisted personnel, hosting dinners and celebrations for military personnel and their families. When those folks are deployed, we support family members left behind. No prior military service is required for you to be a member, and you can be as involved as you want or just join to be part of our organization.

What are the benefits of joining the New Jersey Council?

First and foremost, you will become a part of a dynamic team focused on supporting our men and women in the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine and their families.

You will help educate our legislators and the American public on the importance of sea power to the security and economic prosperity of this nation.

The NJ Council gives you an opportunity to serve five US Navy Ships and Commands assets and twelve US Coast Guard Cutters, Commands and Stations.

Navy League membership also gives you the opportunity to network within our council, your community and at a national level with like-minded individuals from all walks of life. It offers ample opportunities to engage, communicate, educate and advocate
