On Wednesday March 3, 2024, Commander Steven Halle, the Commanding Officer of the USS New Jersey (SSN-796) was presented via a taped a message to guests at the Count Basie Theatre. The event was sponsored by the USS NJ Commissioning Committee The USS New Jersey (SSN-796) will be commissioned in Leonardo NJ on September 14, 2024.
